There is so much research out there about the importance of antioxidants and omegas but what if you just can’t take another supplement?
There is hope! The Antioxidant-Omega Power smoothie.
1/2 cup almond milk (you can use soy or non-fat milk instead)
1/4 cup acai juice (the less sugar the better; high in omega 3s)
1 scoop protein powder (I used Olympia Labs Protein Powder)
10 raw almonds (rich in antioxidants)
1 Tbsp chia seeds (great source of omega 3s)
2-3 cubes of ice (depending how cold you like it)
*blend all ingredients together and serve cold and enjoy.
Elika admits that she is not the biggest fan of protein powders because of the taste, but this was a quick and satisfying breakfast.
